Loving, Growing, Serving in Faith

the Community

At Faith United Methodist Church we are always attentive to the needs of the community around us, and seek to find new and exciting ways to serve people within Polo and Ogle County.

We are active in supporting through volunteering and donations, the Polo Lifeline food pantry as well as the Second Hand Rose clothes closet.  We see it as a service to the community to provide building space for the Polo Community Preschool, as well as local Boy Scout and Girl Scout groups.  Many members from the church also volunteer as mentors in the local elementary school.

In addition, we organize occasional service projects in the community under the name "Laborers of Love."  We volunteer by helping individuals and families in doing lawn work, maintenance projects, and other chores around the house.
